Each area is exclusive to Wildlife Explorer. The NgaroiBordering The Serengeti National Park, The Ngaroi ranges across approximately 300 square kilometers of grasslands, stunning ridges with vistas across the Serengeti, Acacia dotted water holes and towering Kopjes. The game is prolific during the green season with the migratory herds of wildebeest and zebra grazing on the open plains in front of camp. Walking, Game Drives by Day and by Night and cultural interaction with the Masai combine to make The Ngaroi a fascinating place in which to safari. Traditional Walking Safaris of up to five nights are possible within The Ngaroi. OsunyaiAs the surrounding areas of Tarangire dry up the plains game file through Osunyai in search of fresh waters. Perched on the edge of a sand river overlooking excavated water holes made by countless elephants this dry season habitat is punctuated with dry river beds in which to Game Walk and open plains on which to Game Drive by Day and by Night. Herds of elephant, Kudu and Wild Dog are resident within the area with of course countless bird species. Osunyai is to the Dry Season what The Ngaroi is to the Green Season an exclusive opportunity to experience the True African Wilderness. Kou RiverFast flowing rivers safe enough to bathe in are unusual in Africa however the churning torrents in front of camp are just that! Shady Ficus deplete the heat of the sun providing an invaluable umbrella for the accommodation, lounge and dining tents. The towering Great Rift Valley is the backdrop for Kou River at the southern end of Lake Manyara. Walking alongside the Kou River is spectacular with a huge diversity of bird life complimented by night game drives in search of Leopard, Bush Babies and Aardvark. Jewie ya Simba (the Kopje above camp) is a perfect setting to end the day watching the sun set over the Great Rift Valley escarpment before setting out on a night drive.
