Luxury Wilderness Camps
Over ten years ago Wildlife Explorer made a conscious decision to base at least part of its operation outside of the
more touristed wildlife areas allowing greater freedom for a more exclusive experience in our own Tented Camps.
The development of our “Wilderness Camps” has utilised many different styles whilst still maintaining the core feel of a traditional camp. Our intention has always been more about developing a unique experience in the bush rather than trying to create an inappropriate lodge style camp, so after the traditional welcome glass of Champagne one is whisked into a camp that is extraordinary in its style!
Positioned to make the best use of uninterrupted views from the comfort of king-size or extra long twin beds, the
tents exude warmth with raw earthy colours in the fabrics and furnishings, en-suite bathrooms and shady verandas.
There are tents for dining, where uniformed waiters bring mouth watering breakfast, lunch and suppers, all designed at Olerai under the careful eye of Jo Strand, and tents for lounging, with in house reference library, comfortable cushioned sofas and un-interrupted views across Africa’s stunning game studded landscapes.
The Wilderness Camps at Osunyai and The Ngaroi allow complete freedom to explore game rich areas on foot and to game view in open vehicles.
